Psychotherapy is a wonderful and gentle way of helping individuals to understand their own personal reality. Guiding them towards self awareness by learning how to access their own inner wisdom, encouraging their autonomy to help them live a more authentic, kind and nurturing life.
Taking that first step on your healing journey, I appreciate, can feel daunting. Finding someone to trust and to accompany you on your journey can help whilst they hold the experiences you share, in a safe and confidential environment. It can be difficult to confide in close friends or family, which can lead to feelings of loneliness and vulnerability. To avoid feeling pain, hurt or suffering, we can sometimes respond in destructive and unhealthy ways and life can seem confusing and unmanageable.
My fundamental role is to support and guide whilst listening to you, offering you the space to be seen and heard whilst you explore your thoughts, feelings, moods and emotions. I take a non-judgemental approach when working with my clients and I have numerous psychotherapeutic techniques, allowing me to accommodate your individual needs. You will lead the way and choose when to open certain doors, and I will respect your choice when choosing to do so or not.
I work exclusively face to face. It’s my opinion that psychotherapy is an experiential learning process. The body, mind and spirit support one another, therefore, online therapy isn’t how I choose to work. I believe it is far more effective and rewarding to witness the essence of the psychotherapeutic healing process in person. I also work holistically using phenomenological enquiry.
I offer both long and short term therapy, depending on the individual’s needs.
